Philadelphia Officials Unclear on How Long Vote Counting Will Take

Written by on November 4, 2020

The Philadelphia city commissioners said Wednesday during a press conference they are not sure exactly when they will have a final tally of the Presidential Election votes.

“We’ll be done as soon as we’re done,” City Commissioner Lisa Deeley said. “We’re going to count the votes and we’re going to end up at the end. But it’s going to be accurate and we’re going to continue to give you information as it becomes available.”

Fox News reported ballots received after Election Day will be counted and segregated pending the outcome of the litigation. “Pennsylvania extended the deadline for mail-in votes to be received from Election Day” up until three days later.

Officials urged people to be patient as Pennsylvania plays a pivotal role in the election. Currently, President Trump has a lead over Joe Biden in the battleground state.
